How To Play Games From A Flash Drive

USB flash drives are best known for being used as a way to save files on one device and take them to be put onto another device. This also means that you can save important files on your computer onto the flash drive and then delete them from the computer so as to clear up space that can be used for something else.

What many people do not think about is the fact that you do not have to use your flash drive just to save files onto it and take them somewhere else, they can also be used for gaming purposes!

Many people who play video games on their computers as a hobby, and even as a job as there are many professional gamers who get paid to play, find out that they can easily run out of space on their computers or get completely disorganized due to a large cluster of game files that they end up having to save on their computer. However, if you purchase a flash drive with a lot of memory on it you can easily clean up your computer by transferring some of the games that you do not play often and putting them onto the drive from the computer. This way, if you ever do want to whip out the games and start to play, all you have to do is plug the flash drive back into your computer, transfer the game back over, and start the game up. In order to do this, you have to know how to transfer the game in the first place so that it is truly on the flash drive. Below is a guide to getting your games transferred so you get more organized and have more space on your computer.

1.) Insert your flash drive
The first thing you need to do is put the flash drive into the USB port on your computer then wait for the AutoPlay window to pop up. Once it does, you will click on the open folder to view files tab.

2.) Find the game files
Next, you will need to get to the game files that you want to put on the flash drive. Once you find these files, click on them while holding down the Ctrl button and finish selecting the rest of the flash games that you wish to move.

3.) What to do after all files are highlighted
Once the game files that you want to transfer are all highlighted, click and hold it down and drag those game files over to the flash drive folder. Make sure that the files transfer and load completely before you close or remove the flash drive from the USB port. Then, instead of just removing the flash drive, click the safely remove hardware icon which will be at the bottom of the screen. Click this button and wait until the computer icon tells you that the flash games are completely uploaded and that it is safe to take the flash drive out so the games don’t get lost.
